Match Report | PLYMOUTH Marjon men suffered a last-gasp 3-2 defeat at Taunton in the Davis Wood Regional Premier League. Marjon led 2-1 midway through the second half, but conceded two goals in the last 15 minutes. After trailing early on from a penalty corner goal, Plymouth hit back, with Matt Bodily scoring from a well-placed penalty corner. Plymouth took a late first half lead after a fine counter, with Sam Blonden supplying the telling pass for Josh White to convert from close range. In the second half Plymouth had the better of the possession and chances, hitting the post from a Josh White reverse shot, with further efforts from Blonden, Matt Bell, Ian Welch and Seb Ansley all being saved. Taunton punished Plymouth for letting them off the hook, scoring from a counter attack and a third from a penalty corner with two minutes on the clock. |
