Match Report | MATT BODILY scored a hat-trick for Plymouth Marjon as they clawed back from 3-0 down at Truro to draw 3-3 in the West of England & South Wales Hockey League Premiership. All three of Bodily's goals – two in the first half one in the second – came from penalty corners as the Reds restored parity despite trailing 3-0 after 15 minutes to Cornwall's top men's hockey team. The draw edges Plymouth up to eighth in the 12-team top flight ahead of next Saturday's home clash against 10th-placed Robinsons, who were held to a 2-2 home draw by basement side University of Exeter B. Plymouth head coach Jamie Oxley admitted: "It was a frustrating day at the office for the team. "Although we made a poor start I was not too worried as we created chance after chance. "We had the lion's share of possession in the second half and were unlucky not to have secured the three points our comeback deserved. "Overall we lacked composure and a clinical edge when required." |
